How Saint John Concrete got started
I learned concrete working beside my dad on his jobs, and in 2023 I started Saint John Concrete here in Saint John, IN. Most of our calls come from homeowners in Saint John and the cities around it who want a driveway, patio, steps or slab laid out right, so that's the work I built this business around.
What I care about most happens before the truck shows up, because concrete doesn't give you a second try. I'd rather spend an extra hour on layout than leave you with a slab that holds water, and our flatwork, the driveways, patios and walks that lie on the ground, is known for shedding water the way it should. What you can expect when you hire us
You deal with the owner start to finish
I come out to look at every job and write the estimate, then I work on site with our crew through the pour and the finish. The person who measured your driveway is the one making sure it gets built that way.
Grade gets checked twice before the pour
We string, measure and check grade twice before any concrete arrives, because fixing a slope after the pour means tearing it out. That's the step you can't see on day one, and it decides whether water runs off your slab or sits on it.
An estimate you can compare side by side
Your written estimate says plainly what's in the job and what isn't, like removal or hauling, so you're not guessing what another bid left out. If something isn't on the page, ask me and I'll tell you why.
Pour dates set by weather and inspections
We set your pour date around the weather and any inspection the city schedules, so your new concrete isn't rushed to fit a calendar. We check with the building office in the city where your job is first, so the permit question is settled before we dig.
